- How to Enter: Visit the Union Plus website, complete the registration form, and submit a written response (300-600 words) or a video response (up to 5 minutes) nominating yourself or another eligible union member as a Hometown Hero.
- Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) USA, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands, age 18 or older. Nominees must be current or retired union members in good standing with a union nationally affiliated with the AFL-CIO, possess a valid social security number, and be 18 or older. Not open to the general public. Previous Union Plus Contest or Sweepstakes winners of prizes greater than $2,000 in the last two calendar years are not eligible.
